What do the Cities of Philadelphia & Boston have in common?

We are pleased to announce, after a competitive proposal process, both the
[2]City of Philadelphia and the [3]City of Boston, in the past two weeks,
_chose municibid.com_ as their online auctions provider. Both cited _ease of
use_, _demonstrated results_ and _no cost_ as determining factors. The
_City of Boston_, who has used municibid in their pilot program, is entering
into a _3 year contract_ with us. The City of Philadelphia, who _was using
a competing service, will transition to municibid_, beginning April, 2011.
We are excited to continue our relationship with the City of Boston and look
forward to getting started with the City of Philadelphia, our home town!
More details regarding both cities' auction items will be highlighted in
next month's "municibid monthly."

Look for municibid at CONEXPO!

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the international gathering place for the construction
industries. It's held every three years in Las Vegas, this year on March
22-26. If your government agency has heavy equipment to auction, we _highly
recommend_ getting it posted and being open for bids throughout the show
dates! We are seeing an _increase in used heavy equipment_ coming available
on the market. We are continuing to build our _network of heavy equipment
buyers._

municibid has also partnered with [5]Rock & Dirt (among other
publications/websites) to promote your government agency's equipment (at no
cost to the agency). Items are posted as soon as they come online. We also
have a [6]display ad running monthly, in all editions, nationwide. This ad
will include municibid's heavy equipment auction items in the future.

We upgraded our servers, auction listing process, bidder notification system,
and more!

Last Sunday, we transitioned to new servers. These new, _faster servers_
will allow us to continue to scale and _meet the needs of our continued,
rapid growth._ With the new server comes an even_ smoother listing process_
for sellers. We'll email our sellers directly with the specifics of the
updated listing process. If you're a seller, you can give a try now! It
includes _helpful technology_ to guide you through the process.

[7]Zip Code searching has returned! Our new _auction notification system_
will also be available soon. This will allow bidders to choose when to be
notified (via email) when specific items they are looking for become
available for auction.

It's time for Spring Cleaning!

Let's hope we've seen the end of the snow! It has definitely caused delays
in getting auction items posted, which we are now seeing come online. With
the _increase in activity and attention _municibid is continuing to receive,
now is a great time to do some Spring cleaning and get your no longer needed
items listed!

_municibid is very easy and free for government!_
It's Simple! Gov't agencies lists their items (we will help), we advertise
the items, attracting bidders (at no cost to gov), we present the Gov't
agency with results, Gov't agency accepts or rejects the results. If
accepted the winning bidder pays Gov't agency directly, in full.

_Testimonial (received March 1, 2011): _
_"Many thanks to the folks at municibid. Our municipality recently used
this service to dispose of surplus property, and the process could not have
been easier. municibid helps local government to become more efficient."
